Thank you for choosing GemMine®. We are committed to delivering your gemstones and tools safely and efficiently. This Shipping & Delivery Policy explains where we ship, delivery charges, estimated delivery timeframes, and your responsibilities when ordering from our store.

SHIPPING & DELIVERY POLICY (GemMine®)

  1. Who we are
    GemMine® is a trading name of United Kingdom Gem Exchange Ltd. If you need help with shipping, delivery, or an order in transit, please contact us using the details in the “Contact us” section below.

  2. Shipping destinations
    We currently ship to:

  • All addresses within the United Kingdom

  • Europe (available destinations shown at checkout)

We reserve the right to decline orders to certain locations at our discretion (for example, where delivery services are unavailable or restricted).

  1. Business days and when delivery estimates start
    Business working days exclude weekends, UK bank holidays, and public holidays in the destination country.
    Delivery timeframes begin from the date of order confirmation and dispatch notification, not from the date of order placement.

  2. Shipping charges
    Shipping charges are calculated and displayed at checkout based on factors such as:

  • Delivery destination

  • Total weight and/or size of your order

  • Shipping method selected

All shipping charges will be shown before you complete your purchase. GemMine® does not add hidden shipping fees at checkout.

  1. Order processing & dispatch notifications
    Orders are typically processed within 1–3 business days of receipt (unless stated otherwise for a specific product).
    You will receive:

  1. An order confirmation email upon successful purchase

  2. A dispatch notification email with tracking information (where available) once your order has been shipped

Please ensure your email address is correct at checkout so you receive these important notifications.

  1. Estimated delivery timeframes
    Delivery timeframes are estimates and may vary due to carrier operations, customs processing, and local postal services.

United Kingdom deliveries

  • Gemstones and standard items: 7–10 business working days

  • Tools and equipment: up to 14 business working days

European deliveries

  • Estimated delivery: 7–21 business working days (country dependent)
    Delivery times vary depending on the destination country, customs processing, and local postal services.

  1. Taxes, VAT, customs duties and import fees

United Kingdom orders
For deliveries within the UK, applicable taxes are included in the price shown at checkout and no additional charges should be incurred upon delivery.

European orders (customer responsibility)
For orders shipped to Europe, taxes, VAT, customs duties, import handling fees, and any other charges imposed by the destination country are not included unless expressly stated at checkout.
These charges are set by the destination country and/or carrier and are the customer’s responsibility to pay in order to receive the parcel.
We cannot predict the exact amount of these charges as they vary by country and product type.
If you refuse to pay applicable customs/VAT/import charges and the parcel is returned to us or not delivered, shipping costs may be non-refundable and additional return or re-delivery costs may apply.

  1. Tracking
    Where available, tracking information will be provided via email once your order has been dispatched.
    Tracking availability may vary depending on the shipping carrier and destination.
    For European deliveries, tracking may be limited after the parcel enters the destination country’s postal network.

  2. Address accuracy and failed delivery
    You are responsible for ensuring your shipping address is complete and accurate. Please double-check:

  • Full recipient name

  • Complete street address including building/flat number

  • City, county/region, and postal code

  • Country

  • Contact telephone number (recommended/required for international shipments)

GemMine® is not liable for delays or non-delivery caused by incomplete or incorrect address details.
If delivery cannot be completed due to an incorrect/incomplete address, the recipient being unavailable, or refusal to pay customs charges (international orders), you may be responsible for additional shipping costs to re-deliver the item or return it to us.

  1. Lost, delayed, or damaged parcels
    If your order arrives damaged or does not arrive within the estimated timeframe, please contact us as soon as possible. Include your order number and photographic evidence (where applicable).
    We will investigate with the carrier and work with you to help resolve the issue in line with applicable consumer rights and carrier processes.

  2. Shipping restrictions
    Certain items may be subject to shipping restrictions or prohibitions based on destination country regulations. If any item in your order cannot be shipped to your location, we will contact you.

  3. Force majeure
    GemMine® shall not be liable for delays or failure to deliver caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including (but not limited to) natural disasters, severe weather, industrial action/strikes, public health emergencies, changes in customs procedures, or carrier delays/service disruption.
    In such cases, we will make reasonable efforts to notify affected customers and fulfil orders as soon as circumstances permit.

  4. Changes to this policy
    We reserve the right to update this Shipping & Delivery Policy at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website.
    Your continued use of our services following any changes indicates your acceptance of the updated policy.
